Anthony High School.
The successful candidate will work well independently, be resourceful and interact with a diverse group of faculty, students, parent volunteers, and staff.
Strong effective communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are a must.
He/she is responsible for managing the maintenance of all buildings including janitorial services, preventative maintenance, and landscaping.
This position is responsible for managing and training the custodial and maintenance team (Facilities Department).
The Facilities Manager works closely with the Principal, the Director of Finance, and the Director of Technology in all areas of plant operations.
Requirements Oversees the main Campus buildings, Gymnasium and Athletic Complex Maintain facilities and janitorial services (outside contractor) Ensure campus safety Comply with all St.
Anthony High School policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations Ensure facilities are in good repair and provide a safe environment Maintain effective safety program for all members of facilities; complete all safety checks on equipment systems Coordinate and schedule all maintenance, cleaning requests, and work orders Supervise and train custodial and maintenance team; evaluate workloads and reassign job functions for more efficient operation Ensure compliance with government health and safety standards; keep records of all permits, licenses, and citations Oversee all third-party vendors, i.

landscaping, custodial services, pest control, and alarm system Manage the fire, safety, and security systems Respond quickly to emergency problems and be on-call 24/7 to meet with vendors, repairmen, or suppliers, when necessary Oversee the opening/locking and alarming of all buildings Responsible for the security system, assignment of codes, and answering alarm calls 24/7.
If out of town, have a backup assigned and answer calls.
Establish a key control program and procedures for the security of all basic and master keys that service the facilities Maintain and repair classrooms, gymnasium, and athletic field, including, but not limited to, doors, gates, building exteriors, and lights, both inside and outside of buildings.
This includes painting, minor plastering, basic electrical work, cleaning, and power washing.
Purchase all facilities cleaning and operation supplies and materials; research prices and buy items based on best prices with quality and volume in mind Solicit, review, and negotiate bids for repairs and projects Maintain inventory of tools and supplies for custodial, maintenance, and emergency preparedness Provides for the general maintenance of the Facilities facility, making recommendations for major repairs where needed and handling minor repairs on a priority basis.
Assists with the financial control of the school in supervising the account expenditures of utilities, buildings, and maintenance.
Work with the Director of Finance in the management of construction, renovation, and maintenance operations and projects Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance duties related to the school Clean, service, and maintain school vehicles and ensure they are in safe operating condition for the transportation of students, materials, merchandise, and equipment Provides the faculty with a process for reporting maintenance concerns.
Evaluate facilities staff performance Maintain owner manuals/information, asset lists, schedules, and maintenance records Coordinate move/relocation with IT and other related parties, as required Weeknights and weekends are required to oversee extracurricular activities, special events and meetings, and parent volunteer hours Perform other duties as requested by the Principal and Director of Finance MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Facilities Manager Qualifications/Skills Follows all school/archdiocesan policies and procedures Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the school and demonstrate a strong customer experience mindset Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead Self-motivated and self-directed Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds Strong project management skills Basic technical engineering skills Decision making Problem-solving skills IT skills Leadership Professionalism High School Diploma or equivalent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace PREFERRED
Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred College or trade school degree preferred Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget.
New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
