IT Support Specialist

JOB SUMMARY The IT Support Specialist provides organizations with Information Technology support to optimize operational efficiency.
The duties include resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, securing data and improving IT systems.
This is a highly customer service-related position assisting employees and customers as needed.
Effectively communicate and work with every level of employee, in addition to working with outside customers and vendors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide quality IT support with a high degree of customer service, product expertise and timeliness.
Set up hardware and programs for new users and troubleshoots technical issues.
Troubleshoots, diagnoses and conducts or oversees repairs of defective equipment.
Resolve and track logged errors in a timely manner.
Maintain and update computer hardware and systems.
Train end-users on hardware functionality and software programs.
Maintain, back up and secure databases, as well as restoring files.
Consult with IT Managers and other departments as required.
Document processes and performing diagnostic tests.
Multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an emphasis on detail and quality Resolve issues with maintenance agreements and present service offerings.
Make recommendations to IT Manager on improving existing programs or processes.
Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS High school diploma required.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar preferred.
3-5 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist.
Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
Fundamental knowledge of computer hardware, software and components including Server technology, Networks, and Storage.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Strong customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional ability to provide technical support and resolve queries.
Experience in O365/Azure AD a plus.
Significant attention to detail and highly organized.
Ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands and fingers are required for periods of 6-8
hours at a time.
Occasional walking or standing is required.
Occasional carrying of weights from 0-50 pounds may be required.
This job operates in an office environment.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
