DescriptionLead Logistics Coordinator Aviation Desk The Lead Logistics Coordinator - Aviation Desk will be responsible for ensuring time sensitive aviation shipments arrive within set timelines, required specifications, and according to our customers' expectations while supporting the supervisor to ensure the assigned shift is ran to the highest level of efficiency and that all operational procedures and standards are met.
Communication is the key, both internally and to our customers.
Every shipment is to be monitored closely through the MxTMS system.
What you will do:
Support a small team of logistics coordinators.
Manage all aspects of the shift including handling escalations, delegation and workflow management in conjunction with or in the absence of a supervisor Assist in training, leading and helping the assigned team in safety, efficiencies and performance.
Help create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
Provide accurate and timely responses regarding shipping lead times.
Handle incoming customer requests via phone, email and website with a sense of urgency and attention to detail Using MNX's proprietary logistics management platform, process, monitor, and manage critical customer shipments for the medical, aerospace, telecommunications and high tech industries Communicate with customers and agents in a professional and courteous manner Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
Associate's Degree or above; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

years of experience in logistics.
Experience working with Aviation partners with focus on imports/exports, time critical transports, and AOG Excellent communication (verbal, phone, email, and written).
Leadership (guide, motivate, support).
Time Management.
Organization.
Solid understanding of geography.
Basic PC skills.
Be able to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment Flexibility - with the ability to work additional hours as business requires Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team Strong attention to detail.
Background in aviation logistics.
Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to explain complex and/or confidential information.
