What you will be doing:
The Strategy Manager evaluates, analyzes and develops recommendations on strategy and business opportunities for Cedars-Sinai Health System.
The Manager collaborates with Health System leadership to define growth strategies and drive the strategic planning process for System leadership, clinical departments, and the Medical Network.
The position is responsible for assisting in the management and facilitation of departmental projects and work teams.
This position also assists in supervising System Development staff with ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency of deliverables.
The successful team member:
Leads the development, facilitation, and presentation of project deliverables, including strategy and business plans for Health System partners, to guide strategic and business decisions; includes leading and/or facilitating cross-functional project groups which may include Health System leadership, clinical departments, and the Medical Network.
Leads the development of complex business plans by identifying, retrieving and analyzing data, developing models and assumptions to support decisions and recommendations on strategic and business opportunities of large scope and impact to the organization; uses quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external sources to inform the business plans.
Creates and designs new strategic and business analysis approaches.
Prepares and defines comprehensive market and trend assessments/analyses that may include demand forecasts, competitor analyses, risk assessments, and the research, monitoring, evaluation of key market trends.
Evaluates potential transactions for physician group and hospital affiliations and new venture opportunities.
Works with Health System staff and leadership to convert strategy and business plans into implementation plans; supports monitoring of implemented strategies and the review of business plan targets.
Leads the evaluation of operational needs for Health System growth initiates (e.
g.
, program development, new services, and technology) in collaboration with operations leadership; includes facility planning, staffing requirements, capital needs, and capacity analyses.
Develops detailed financial analyses, including income statements, cash flow analysis and balance sheets; as well as economic valuations using standard acceptable methodologies.
Provides consulting and project management support for Health System leadership, clinical departments and the Medical Network as needed.
Supervises System Development staff on assigned projects; includes the provision of project assignment, scope, review and feedback on deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality and consistency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
Bachelors in art or science is acceptable with relevant minimum experience.
A minimum of five years' experience planning, finance, strategy or business development experience in a healthcare organization or consulting organization providing services to the healthcare industry or equivalent experience, required.
