Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Dog Trainer, you will begin a comprehensive training program to cultivate your skills in force-free, positive reinforcement techniques.
You will work closely with experienced trainers, learning hands-on methods to understand canine behavior and develop tailored training plans.
Responsibilities:
Assist certified trainers in group classes, private sessions, and behavioral consultations Participate in observing, evaluating, and documenting dog behaviors Assist in the development and implementation of personalized training plans and classes Engage with dog owners, providing guidance and support in reinforcing positive behaviors Continuously educate yourself on the latest force-free, positive reinforcement training methodologies Cleaning, setting up, and breaking down each classroom Requirements:
A genuine passion for dogs and a commitment to force-free, positive reinforcement training methods Excellent communication skills, both with dogs and their guardians Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Willingness to learn and embrace new training techniques No previous formal training experience is required, but a strong desire to learn and grow is essential Leave the ego at the door with us; we're always learning, and we'll never know it all ;)
