JOB DESCRIPTION The Supply Chain Administrator is an integral part of the Supply Chain team reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and approval timelines with varying approval processes while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all packaging components.
This team member will work closely with Sales, Compliance and Manufacturing and will collaborate with Product Development as required for special projects.
The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for:
Working with Sales Team to obtain packaging information.
Communicating with our customers on packaging requirements.
Accessing customer packaging websites to obtain packaging information, review proofs, order packaging files.
Submitting proofs and packaging samples to customers for review Providing packaging and packing information to our vendors.
Reviewing law label, care label, hang tag, packaging, carton label/markings proofs to ensure all information is accurate including UPC barcodes, size, filling, country of origin etc.
Reviewing and approving packaging samples.
Approving label and packaging placement on product.
Communicating packaging changes to our vendors.
Working with International 3rd party companies for labeling and import documentation requests.
Submitting production samples and import documents to International Customers Maintaining timelines for review and approvals to ensure testing and production timelines are met.
Coordinating new packaging requests with Sales Team, Product Development and graphic designer.
Working with Sales Team, Buying Team and Compliance Team to ensure claims on packaging are accurate.
Purchasing RFID carton labels, ribbon/card, PDQ carton labels, poly bags and any other packaging materials that are needed for up to 4 plant locations.
Coordinating with Sales Team and Inventory Distribution Manager for PDQ carton label purchases.
Communicating packaging issues with Sales Team, Supply Chain Team, Compliance Team, Management Team and Manufacturing Team.
Participating in cross functional team meetings, kick off meeting and hand off meetings.
Discussing possible issues with customer packaging release dates to ensure timely delivery of product.
Discussing packaging needs with team members responsible for ordering retail stickers etc.
Provides packaging costs to Sales Team and Supply Chain Team.
Works with Accounting Team for review and approval of vendor packaging invoices weekly.
