Education Partner Liaison

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Gathers and reviews attendance data to identify students who are truant.
Tracks and monitors progress of students in foster care and students experiencing homelessness Tracks and monitors progress of students who have a probation officer Makes home visits in response to loss of engagement and truancy Collaborates with school staff to develop intervention plans for students who are truant and carries out applicable actions in alignment with the intervention plan.
Makes referrals to case management services, including individual counseling and other professional staff members or community agencies, as needed; follows up by monitoring student attendance and progress.
Tracks and updates address changes for students.
Serves as a liaison between assigned schools and such agencies as social services, court services, and the police department regarding student truancy.
Assists with implementing truancy prevention programs for assigned schools and recommends strategies to support and improve regular school attendance (i.
e.
:
incentives, peer groups, recognitions).
Works with community resource providers, Postsecondary Counselors, and/or Career Path Coordinators to assist students with obtaining work experience.
Helps coordinate enrollment and recruitment of students from neighborhood schools Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Provide consultative assistance to school staff Coordinate with law enforcement and other support agencies Develop innovative strategies to curtail truancy React calmly and quickly in an emergency situations Observe situations analytically and make recommendations Ability to travel to various school sites Research and compile resources for student and education partners Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma required; BS/BA degree preferred.
Valid 30-Day Permit preferred.
One or more years of company experience Hourly Range:
$20.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
