A combination of law firm experience and/or relevant education preferred.
This position offers a semi-hybrid/remote work consisting of one flexible remote day per week following a mandatory two-week (10-day in-office training) session, with the potential to increase to two rotating remote days per week.
Responsibilities include office and administrative tasks such as handling mail and deliveries, greeting clients, ordering and maintaining office supplies, answering phones and conducting client intake calls, preparing case files for hearings, scanning documents into electronic case files, etc.
Additional responsibilities shall include (based on experience) drafting documents such as formal correspondence, drafting discovery and pleadings, trial and hearing preparation, calendaring, case and deadline management, electronic and paper court filings (typically state court only), legal research, proofreading, editing, and formatting, management of hard and electronic case files, scheduling remote appearances for the attorney and/or clients, communicating directly with court clerks and other professional entities, etc.
Benefits:
Starting salary ranging between $50,000.
