Summary:

Analyze users' needs and design, construct, test, and maintain computer applications software or systems :
Can be involved in the design and development of many types of software, including (but not limited to) web, application and system software
Essential Functions:

Debug and implement enhancements in existing applications.
3.
Code 'n' tier applications.
4.
Create prototypes, mock:
ups and functional specifications.
5.
Create technical methods for engineering solutions to web:
based development problems.
6.
Meet with managers and customers on specifics of projects, new technologies, deadlines and resolve customer issues.
7.
Recommend new technologies to utilize, such as browsers, languages, and plug:
ins, processes etc.
based on Company needs.
8.
Make suggestions on creating application development standards for specific projects and the Company as a whole.
9.
Stay abreast of industry trends including (but not limited to) scripting, security issues, authoring tools, new languages etc.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Education or training equivalent to a bachelors degree in an area of specialty and/or at least 3:
5 years of experience in application development Experience with latest web technologies and methodologies is required Experience with latest mobile application technologies is preferred Basic understanding of UML is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of web:
related development technologies Ability to define technical specifications and write code as defined in the specification Ability to develop UML artifacts is preferred Ability to gather and analyze feedback on web development needs Ability to integrate new technologies into web sites Ability to work independently and as a team member in completing assignments Ability to plan and carry out work activities and projects in accordance with management direction Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, vendors, customers, and contractors SPECIAL Requirements:
