Program Specialist (Outreach Coordinator)

Independently determine most effective/efficient outreach modalities to utilize when performing outreach functions. Routine issues/questions are handled independently by the Outreach Coordinator, with the supervisor only being contacted in the most rare, unusual, or unique circumstances. Implement outreach strategies to increase the number of SCI/D veterans enrolled and vested at SCI/D by promoting and marketing various telehealth technologies, as well as, other access technologies. Collaborate with providers to enhance marketing materials for long term health and wellbeing of Veterans. Develop operational plans and policies necessary to achieve health education objectives and services for the SCI/D population. Prepare and distribute health education materials, including reports, brochures, posters, bulletins, and visual aids such as films, videotapes, photographs, posters, and promote the use of MyHealtheVet for veterans with SCI/D. Provide program information to the public by preparing and presenting press releases, conducting media campaigns, and/or maintaining program-related web sites. Reviews, analyzes, and determines most appropriate outreach methods. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. No special physical demands although it may involve some walking, standing, bending, or carrying of light items. Concentration and sustained performance under prolonged stress is required due to time factors involved and the nature of work. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station using the federally approved systems for travel. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
